Giant Spoon is looking for a Media Director who can command a team of strategists into a future- proofed media landscape. We are looking for a seasoned client-facing, polished and articulate leader who possesses the fundamentals of integrated media - having experienced both traditional and digital practices - with the ability to apply that knowledge to an advanced strategic viewpoint. The media lead should be able to think beyond expected placements and partnerships to deliver on brand goals. Thought process should include media innovation, content development, creative workflow management and project execution. Leadership traits should exemplify buttoned-up organization, proactive client communication, internal management and cross-agency expertise. 



  • Oversee management of media programs including but not limited to content partnerships, video (TV, digital, video, OTT) strategy and distribution, emerging media (VR, bots), social and more. 

  •  Accountable client-facing lead on day-to-day media projects and presentation delivery - commanding presence and confidence a must. 

  •  Ongoing pulse on industry trends and cultural application to media, curious about what’s next

  • Develop and implement brand-specific processes that create efficient day-to-day team operation

  • Comfortable in delegating amongst team members and ease of management both up and down

  •  Buttoned-up on client’s business documents, workflow and management style

  • Lead on brand financials and budget management

  • Lead contact for brand partners with regular pulse on and familiarity with key stakeholder capabilities, new developments and opportunities

  • Expertise in using media planning, reporting and management tools such as Nielsen, Strata, Google Analytics, Omniture, Sizmek, eMarketer for application/analysis.

  • People person, vocal in opinion, articulate with rationale, resourceful and action-oriented

  • Must love never-been-done-before challenges, shifting deadlines and setting high bars of achievement 



  • • 8-10+ years in integrated media planning - having experienced both traditional and digital practices

  • Experience in managing client day-to-day function with ideas around best practices for efficient workflow, cross-agency relationships and internal management

  • Ability to own and articulate strategy, rationale, and ideas

  • Experience in presenting to senior clients both directly and as part of inter-agency environment

  • Proven track record of applying cultural trends and new media opportunities to client business

  • Resourceful, pro-active and buttoned-up management skills; comfortable with delegation

  • Experience working on experiential programs, content creation, and new media platforms preferred

  • Digitally connected, passionate about technology and innovation with an insatiable curiosity for how it applies to our industry

  • Exposure to/participation in industry events includes CES, SXSW, Cannes, etc.

  • Drive to breakthrough industry norms and eye for award-winning opportunities

  • Expert use of media planning and buying tools (Nielsen, BrandOcean, Strata, etc.)

  • Open to travel as necessary
