Jonathan has been an agent for innovation and change at several of the world’s largest advertising agencies. He engineered new models that not only became massive businesses in their own right but also served to bring a wide variety of Fortune 100 clients into the future of marketing.
Previously, Jonathan served as Chief Innovation Officer of Omnicom’s OMD. As the top innovation executive at OMD, he developed new functions in mobile, gaming, pop-culture, technology, and creativity for the agency. Ultimately, Jonathan was responsible for leading edge brand strategies, creative media, new technology, emerging media, and all breakthrough initiatives designed to keep clients at the forefront of innovation.
A George Washington University grad, Jon resides in Los Angeles, CA.
Marc Simons has been a creative catalyst dedicated to thinking about how emerging technologies will change the face of media and marketing at a number of large advertising and media agencies before starting his own independent agency. Prior to co-founding Giant Spoon, Marc was the West Coast Director for OMD's creative media group, the Ignition Factory at Omnicom. Marc has a number of "firsts" under his belt, including embedding a web-connected video screen in a magazine for the CW, the first television script published to Amazon’s Kindle Store as a marketing stunt, the first "Shazam-able" TV ad with Levi Strauss & Co., and the first advertising on Flipboard. Marc has also helped countless startups tackle their advertising products while pairing brands with the next wave of disruptive technologies.
Trevor Guthrie is a big-ideas guy, having spent his career repositioning companies as future-pointing brands with a one-two punch of sky's-the-limit thinking and savvy execution.
Prior to co-founding Giant Spoon, Guthrie was the East Coast director of Ignition Factory, a creative catalyst unit at Omnicom's OMD, where he led a team of specialists to dream up and produce first-to-market advertising campaigns for Showtime, Levi's, GE, PepsiCo, FedEx, and others. He was also the key architect behind Spotify's Music Apps Hack Weekend in 2012 and GE's incubator program in 2011 and 2012. Before joining OMD, Guthrie worked at Blue Sky, a boutique agency in his hometown of Atlanta, and Boston's Arnold Worldwide, and held marketing roles with Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, Microsoft, and DreamWorks.
