JOB DESCRIPTION

Giant Spoon is looking for a People Associate to join the People function at Giant Spoon supporting both the LA and NY offices.

The ideal candidate is constantly looking for ways to make operations more efficient, opportunities to help improve processes already in place, and has an employee-focused approach to HR. Someone that has an eye for detail, is proactive and efficient and can build relationships within the agency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitating onboarding processes and collecting employee paperwork

  • Handle all payroll processing

  • Handle new hire set-up and exiting employee processes

  • Resolving benefits & payroll related problems

  • Answering employee requests and questions

  • Maintaining employee files

  • Scheduling interviews and drafting offer letters

  • Ad-hoc projects as they arise

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration or a related field

  • 1- 2 years of HR experience

  • Experience working in an advertising/marketing agency a plus

  • Pays very close attention to the details

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and project management skills
