SENIOR STRATEGIST, SEARCH AND SOCIAL

JOB DESCRIPTION

Giant Spoon is looking for a Search and Social Senior Advertising Strategist to develop and execute cutting-edge search, social, and display campaigns across diverse self-serve buying platforms including Google, YouTube, Facebook/Instagram, Amazon, Twitter, Pinterest, Reddit, and Snapchat.

We are looking for individuals with a strategic and analytical mindset as well as a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, who are excited to work in a fast-paced environment while thinking quickly on their feet. Qualified candidates will be able to effectively translate marketing objectives into strategic programmatic campaigns and analyze complex data sets in real-time to optimize performance. While working within the programmatic media disciple, candidates must also display an aptitude for the entire marketing ecosystem (e.g. brand planning, media planning, creative, etc.). Responsibilities include the translation of marketing briefs, insights and strategies into innovative digital, social and video solutions, presenting agency work and effectively implementing feedback.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong appetite for new technology, emerging platforms, social content, pop culture and everything in between. An insatiable curiosity combined with the ability to translate intelligence and ideas into creative concepts is essential. They will have a strong knowledge of search and social platforms, digital content development, user experience, mobile and emerging technologies. He or she must live, think and work in the digital world.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and execution of client campaigns including (and not limited to) SEM, paid social, programmatic display and video

  • Define key performance indicators, analytics and reporting methods on each campaign, target audience, and piece of creative

  • Work with broader team to identify ways to integrate performance insights and technology into business strategies and campaigns

  • Work with account lead and brand manager to define and meet expectations for project deliverables

  • Have a solid understanding of client objectives and establish client-specific KPIs for media metrics, brand impact, and ROI

DESIRED SKILLS

  • 3-5 years experience managing paid search and social campaigns in Google AdWords, FB Ads Manager, Power Editor, Amazon Search/Programmatic, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, and OATH

  • Familiarity with social ad formats, specs, and creative best practices along with requisite project management skills to ensure assets are built to spec and delivered on schedule

  • Hands-on experience implementing retargeting and conversion pixels, tracking URLs, and click/impression tags while possessing a broader understanding of campaign measurement, analytics, attribution, audience segmentation, ad fraud, and brand safety

  • In-depth knowledge of SEM bid strategies, match types, optimization, and ad extensions

  • Experience negotiating and buying social stature and high impact ad units while aligning with a full-funnel retargeting strategy to drive users down the path to purchase

  • The ability to extract key strategic learnings and insights from complex data sets and frame them within a compelling narrative and visual presentation

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills along with the ability to work under deadlines and stay focused simultaneously on the big picture and smallest details

  • Published thought leadership on ad tech or related topics are a plus
