Giant Spoon is looking for an Accounts Payable Manager who can own the Accounts Payable process within the agency, as well as work directly with outside vendors for proper setup and coordination. The AP Manager will work cross-functionally within the agency to ensure the needs are met across teams with an eye for continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate must be able to multitask, think clearly on their feet and articulate key financial metrics to team members - all within a fast-paced agency environment.  


  • Manages all aspects of accounts payable functions including oversight of vendor relations, invoice processing, new vendor setup, 1099 tax-related matters, and employee expense managements

  • Manages accounting functions including maintenance of accounts payable sub-ledger and statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments, approvals and coding.

  • Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies for accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.

  • Provides payable accounting assistance to operations and accounting staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.

  • Plan and manage integration of new acquisitions into the current process and systems

  • Perform monthly accounts payable close activities as needed, such as manual journal entries and assisting accounting team with close inquiries

  • Insure AP processes are compliant with SOC requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

  • Minimum 6+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in an agency or production setting

  • Experience with Excel, Advantage (or other accounting software) required

  • Experience with international AP requirements specifically VAT a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to lead with sense of urgency and be able to effectively manage priorities within tight time constraints

  • Experience working with GAAP

  • Candidates must be organized, able to multi-task, and self starter in a fast-paced environment
